the brief
Set in a newly renovated property, the key words of the clients’ brief were ‘classic contemporary’, themed with a timeless air but with a design that excelled on a functional level. The simple lines of the shaker range, in a mix of chalk and suede colours, was the starting point for the scheme, and teamed with crisp white quartz worktops.

Designers tips
The space had to be inviting as it’s a room where the clients intend to entertain, but whilst they wanted something ‘wow’ they were keen to ensure it didn’t come across as pretentious or show-off-ish. The use of the raised breakfast bar creates valuable space for family mealtimes and creates a division between the kitchen and dining room.
